Why choose Know How Training & Consultancy Ltd as your training provider?

Our standards are in guidelines with HSE as a First Aid Training provider. We check and verify the qualifications of trainers and assessors and monitor quality assurance systems of trainers and administration staff. We review teaching, standards of first-aid practices, syllabus content on a regular basis.

Know How Training & Consultancy is an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) and in accordance with CITB guidelines.

Your training experience will be enjoyable and informative with the objective of completing the training with utmost confidence. Trainers are employed with personality and an approachable manner.

Is your training centre recognised by a regulated Award Organisation?

Yes our First Aid, Fire Safety and Health and Safety training are regulated by the national qualification regulators (Ofqual, SQA or Qualification Wales).

Site Safety Plus training is regulated and monitored by CITB.

Which course is right for me?

We have many courses available for beginners, intermediate, advanced of all levels. If you need help deciding which course is for you, please feel free to Contact Us to discuss your requirements.

What happens if I failed the exam?

There is an option for an examination to be re-taken, if the candidate fails on the first attempt. A cost is associated.

How many students are there per class?

We have a maximum of 12 delegates per class, one of the smallest tutor-to-student ratios in the industry.

Can I find parking in the area?

There is free on road parking.

Can I visit KNOW-HOW TRAINING centre?

Yes, we can arrange a visit with one of our training advisors, who can advise on your requirements.

Are there amenities nearby?

There are two café and a cashpoint nearby in walking distances. We provide free refreshers (tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh fruits) to our candidates and visitors.

CITB -Construction Industry Training Board

The Site Safety Plus Scheme from CITB is highly sought after in the construction industry. These qualifications (SMSTS, SSSTS, Directors and Role and the H & S Awareness Green card course) are mandatory to work on most building sites/projects and are an essential tool in reducing accidents and ill health in one of the UK’s most dangerous industries. All our courses are listed in CITB Training Register website.

NUCO TRAINING

Health and Safety is an essential life skill, not to mention mandatory in the workplaces. Our courses are approved and certificated by NUCO Training Ltd who in association with First Aid Award and OFQUAL, an influential and well-respected governing body in this vital field. Our Trainers are registered with Nuco Instructors.

How do I book a course?

Firstly, select the course you want to attend, then the date. You can pay via the secure card payment facility on our website or phone the centre and speak to a member of staff who will happily assist accordingly.

Do you provide In-house training?

Yes, we provide in-house training at locations of your choice. Training courses we provide for in-house training are:

First Aid at Work
Emergency First at Work
Paediatric First Aid
Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Fire Safety
Health and Safety in the Workplace

For other training Contact Us to discuss. There is a standard day rate for up to twelve candidates.

The SMSTS course was brilliantly delivered by Brian, considering COVID environment, it couldn't be held in a physical classroom so the course was delivered via Zoom. This was surprisingly engaging and informative. Brian is highly professional, calm and knowledgeable, it was really good to be part of this diverse group.

Just completed my SMSTS Refresher course. All felt a little weird at first due to the fact the course was delivered on zoom but the course was delivered brilliantly. The staff were easy to get along with and I would recommend anyone who needs to take one of the courses offered to do it through Know How as you wont regret it!
