Here at Know-How Training, we offer a wide range of training courses, including First Aid Training Courses, from our base in Liverpool. To become a qualified First Aider, it is necessary to complete the Level 3 course. However, if you have already completed a course, and your current certificate has expired beyond the three years of validity, you are welcome to complete this 2 Day First Aid Training Refresher, ensuring you benefit from re-qualification. This course enables you to brush up and build on your existing knowledge and skills without having to go back to basics.

Once you have completed this refresher course, your certification will be valid for another three years, and you will be again awarded a First Aid at Work Level 3 certificate by First Aid Awards (FAA) who are regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation. The HSE guidance states that without this, you will no longer considered competent to act as a First Aider in the workplace. For this reason, it is vital to be aware of your qualification expiry date as your current qualification needs to either be in date or no longer than one month since the expiry date.

You will need to provide evidence of this existing or previous qualification in order to be eligible for the 2-day requalification course. As you need to be suitably experienced, this can be evidenced by having held multiple FAW qualifications, attending annual refresher training, and/or being an active First Aider. If relevant, you can include a letter from your employer as evidence, and the centre must be able to retain evidence.

Certification of the course is valid for 3 years upon completion. On completion candidates will be awarded a First Aid at Work Level 3 certificate by First Aid Awards (FAA)  who are regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation.
