If you work within the construction industry and are a line manager, foreman, gangers, team leader or a supervisor; then this course is designed for you. We have two focuses to delivering our course. The first is to ensure we help you lessen the risk of injury to your staff by providing them with the right tools. The second is ensuring you’re fully compliant to work.
You'll be able to manage and identify risks associated with loud noises, electricity, working machinery & fire hazards
You'll be able to create reports for accidents, injuries and ill health which may occur within the construction industry.
You'll be able to identify and control asbestos, dust, fumes and other hazardous substances associated with working on a construction site.
You'll be able to ensure a safe working environment by creating and using risk assessments, method statements, statutory assessment & planning projects in hazardous environments.
At the end of your training you'll be assessed to show you know & understand construction based risks & mitigation strategies. You'll also undertake an examination of 25 questions.

Examination
The paper consists of 25 questions: 22 multiple choice questions and three short written questions and answers. There are four safety critical questions at the beginning of each paper that must be answered correctly. This exam paper must be taken at the end of the course. Successful candidates will gain an industry recognised certificate valid for 5 years, accredited by CITB
What is the pass mark for this exam?
The pass mark is 80%
What happens if I fail my exam?
Should you achieve a 70-79% mark we will provide you with a free resit of the exam. Should your mark fall below this, you will have to resit the entire course.
Assessment
Assessment will be an end of course examination and the trainer review.
The candidate must pass the exam and pass all three elements of the trainer review.
The examination demonstrates to external bodies that the certificate is only awarded to successful candidates following both an assessment and examination.
The trainer review demonstrates engagement, collaborative working and listening skills – key elements of becoming a supervisor.
