IPAF 1b Static Boom

The IPAF 1b Operator category covers the safe use of Static Booms which generally have outriggers. The category covers  spider booms on tracks or wheels, van-mounted, truck- mounted and trailer-mounted booms. On successful completion on an IPAF practical test on one of the above types of boom with outriggers, they are permitted to operate the other types of Static Booms under the 1b category, subject to receiving familiarisation on the 1b machine being used.

Know How Training  can carry out IPAF 1b training at any one of partner sites located in Liverpool and the Merseyside area. We can also train your candidates at your own site or premises, provided the facilities are adequate and there is a static boom available for the delegates to use. The course gives candidates sound knowledge, good working practices with hands-on practical skills to enable them to safely operate powered access equipment.
